Service Description

English for kids fluent in English, with appropriate learning for children aged 9–10. This weekly class builds on earlier years and welcomes new students. Moving beyond mechanics to ideas, expression and real-world topics. We strengthen reading, writing and spelling (with targeted grammar and vocabulary) through Science, Geography, History, Social Studies and Maths projects. New to Class Acts? Join us for a trial class. WHO IS IT FOR Children in Grade 3 who speak and understand English fluently, including native speakers and children using English in everyday life. SCHEDULE Thursdays, 14:00–15:30 (90 minutes) Frequency: 16 sessions / semester II. semester: 5.2., 12.2., 5.3., 12.3., 19.3., 26.3., 9.4., 16.4., 23.4., 30.4., 14.5., 21.5., 28.5., 4.6., 11.6., 18.6. WHAT WILL CHILDREN LEARN - Using English every day with richer, more precise expression - Reading & writing (grammar and vocabulary to support clearer paragraphs) - Critical & creative thinking (inference, explanation, simple justification) SESSION FLOW - Weekly, 90 minutes in small groups - Language Skills — 50 min: reading fluency, sentence writing, vocabulary building, phonics/spelling. - Snack & Circle Time — 10 min: conversation, sharing news, routines and class community. - Topic Time — 30 min: hands-on projects in Science/Geography/History/Social Studies/Maths — learning through English, not just about English. WHAT WILL CHILDREN BUILD - Spelling & phonics: common patterns, tricky words, simple self-check tips - Writing: neat sentences with capitals and full stops; short, clear paragraphs - Speaking & listening: explain clearly, take turns, join whole-class talk - Reading: sound out confidently, read aloud with expression, get the main idea - Thinking skills: notice, compare, explain, create - Study habits: organised books, easy note-taking, pride in finished work WHY CLASS ACTS - The only Prague community for English-speaking kids - Home for bilingual families & expats - Warm, professional and experienced teachers - 20 years experience in bilingual education COURSE FEE 7 200 CZK / semester incl. student books Payment: This is a prepaid course.
