ALL ABOUT LET’S WRITE!

Since 2016, we have run an English-language writing contest for children in Prague called Let's Write.  Every year, we choose a different literary genre.  We partner with professional writers to create a contest that will help children learn about how to approach different writing styles.  In the past, we have worked with novelist Mark Slouka, Bloomberg reporter Jim Gomez, the Prague Youth Theatre, Riverside School teachers, and many others.

Riverside School has also supported our project, offering its space for writing workshops which we offer every year to help children understand how to start the process.

In 2019 we partnered with the Vaclav Havel Library and ran a contest inspired by Havel's work.  Most recently we ran a playwriting contest and produced the winning plays with directors and actors from Story Theatre and Prague Youth Theatre.

In 2021/2022 we are very pleased to be working with the English section of Radio Prague International for our first Podcast Contest.  David Vaughan, the former editor in chief of the English section of Radio Prague International, has helped develop the concept and will be leading workshops for kids!
