Service Description

This course builds on the foundations introduced in our Grade 1 program and is ideal for children who already speak and understand English and attend Czech primary schools. While it is a natural next step for returning students, new participants are also very welcome, no previous attendance is required. The curriculum continues to mirror the language skills programs used in U.K. and U.S. schools, with a focus on developing reading skills, spelling competencies, expanding vocabulary, and encouraging independent, creative thinking. In addition to core literacy work, children explore real-world topics through hands-on, discussion-based activities in areas such as science, geography, history, and basic math concepts — all in English. Who it’s for: Children in Grade 2 who speak and understand English (approx. B2 level) Class structure: 50 minutes: Language Skills (reading, writing, vocabulary, phonics) 10 minutes: Snack break and Circle Time (conversation, sharing, routines) 30 minutes: Topic Time — exploring Science, Geography, History, Social Studies, or Math in English Course length: 32 sessions per school year Schedule: Wednesdays, 14:00–15:30 Course starts: September 17, 2025 Course fee: 14,400 CZK / school year Includes all student books (distributed during lessons) How to pay: - Card payment upon the registration - Bank transfer Account number: 1973543399 / 0800 Payment note: Please include your child’s name Please note: This is a prepaid course Course fee can be paid in two installments Missed classes are non-refundable For full details, see our Course Terms and Conditions Extra clubs included – free of charge! Children enrolled in After School English (Grades 1 through Teen) receive free access to our monthly enrichment clubs: Read & Play English (for younger learners 6-8 yo) Write & Think English (for children aged 10+) These clubs meet once a month and offer fun, creative ways to deepen your child’s relationship with English through stories, reading, and writing. To take advantage of this benefit, registration and full or partial payment must be completed by the end of August.
