Service Description

English speaking children attending Czech primary schools have different language-learning needs to their Czech speaking classmates. Recognising that they would benefit from an alternative to the standard ESL instruction on offer, Class Acts has been running a variety of After School English classes since 2009. This language programme offers an approach similar to the language skills programmes in the U.S. and the U.K. and emphasises on early writing, critical thinking and creativity. Class format: A 50 min English (Language Skills) session followed by a 10 min snack break and "circle time". The class concludes with a 30 min "topic" lesson. This lesson includes Science, History, Geography, PSHE (Social Studies) Math topics and concepts. Who attends: Age: 7-8 years old English native speakers Bilingual children (English) English as a second language, minimum level A1 Thursdays 14:00-15:30 Dates: Course starts on 12th September. Fee: 14 400 CZK / school year Fee includes 32 sessions. Fee does not include student books. Kids will receive the books at the beginning of the course. This course is prepaid. Cancellation Policy

Refunds for missed classes are not possible. For details please read our Course Terms and Conditions. Event participation is transferable so a friend or family member can attend the class you miss. This rule does not apply only for events not for pre-paid regular courses.
