Service Description

English speaking children attending Czech primary schools have different language-learning needs to their Czech speaking classmates. Recognising that they would benefit from an alternative to the standard ESL instruction on offer, Class Acts has been running a variety of After School English classes since 2009. This language programme offers an approach similar to the language skills programmes in the U.S. and the U.K. and emphasizes on early writing, critical thinking and creativity. Who attends: Bilingual children Class format: - There are 32 lessons in a school year. - A 50min English (Language Skills) session followed by a 10min snack break and "circle time". The class concludes with a 30min "topic" lesson. This lesson includes Science, History, Geography, PSHE (Social Studies) Math topics and concepts. Dates: Thursdays from 14.00-15.30 1st semester starts on September 14th I. SEMESTER 14.9., 21.9., 5.10., 12.10., 19.10., 2.11., 9.11., 16.11., 23.11., 30.11., 7.12., 14.12., 21.12. 2023 4.1., 18.1., 25.1. 2024 II. SEMESTER dates will be announced later on Fee: 14 400,- Kč / school year This course is pre-paid. Fee includes the student books. Kids will receive the books at the course. There are no refunds for missed class.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds for missed classes are not possible. For details please read our Course Terms and Conditions. Event participation is transferable so a friend or family member can attend the class you miss. This rule does not apply only for events not for pre-paid regular courses.
