Dive down the rabbit hole with us this year and join Story Club, an English-language drama club where children don’t just rehearse a play, they create it from the very beginning. In 2026/2027, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, children will step into a world of curious characters, unexpected adventures and endless imagination. Together, we’ll explore the story, develop our own ideas, shape the script, create props and scenery, experiment with movement, puppetry and drama games and gradually bring our own original version of Alice in Wonderland to life. Story Club is designed as a creative rehearsal process, giving children the chance to experience how a theatre production really comes together: from the first idea to the final performance. The journey ends on stage, with a live theatre performance in March 2027 for family and friends. Led by Leah Gaffen, co-founder of Class Acts and graduate in drama education from The Prague Theatre Academy DAMU, and Ayca, actress from Turkey who also studied theatre at DAMU. WHO IS IT FOR Children aged 8–11 who speak and understand English fluently as well as English learners Quick check: ✓ Understands and speaks English fluently • ✓ Enjoys storytelling, drama and creative play • ✓ Ready to collaborate as part of a theatre group and perform on stage Unsure if it’s right? SESSION FLOW - Meet & Greet, warm-up drama games - Storytelling and story discussion - Creating our own theatre play through drama activities - Script development, character work and rehearsals - Creating props, scenery and other elements for the final performance WHAT WIL CHILDREN LEARN - Build confidence and feel more comfortable expressing themselves in front of others - Develop communication and public speaking skills - Learn to work creatively as part of a team - Strengthen imagination, storytelling and performance skills - Use English naturally and confidently in a meaningful, creative setting - Experience how a theatre production comes together — from the first idea and script to props, rehearsals and the final performance SCHEDULE Tuesdays, 15:30–17:00 Course starts on September 22 FEE & HOW TO PAY Semester I: 3 000 CZK / semester incl. all materials Semester II: 3 000 CZK / semester incl. all materials and books Payment: This is a prepaid course.
